Richard Reid & Associates has presented its review of NZTA’s ‘Cobham Drive to Buckle Street’ transport project to Wellington City Council’s Strategy and Policy Committee. Our review provides a fresh and unique perspective on the $560M project and includes the preparation of an alternative design proposal.

Our design significantly improves traffic flow and integrates necessary road upgrades within the city’s urban structure. It does not require a flyover and therefore avoids the major adverse effects of NZTA’s proposal on the Basin Reserve. We have also identified other critical traffic improvements which will benefit the urban design and heritage features of the corridor.
